OUR STORY

Some miles are about more than the finish line.

Built from loss, movement and the belief that nobody should face the difficult miles alone. We create running clothing with messages that matter, for every pace, every distance and every reason for moving.

We exist for the runs that don’t feel good.

The quiet miles. The difficult days. The moments when simply getting outside feels like an achievement.

Movement cannot solve everything. But it can give us space to breathe, process what we are carrying and take the next step.

Sometimes showing up is enough.

WHERE IT BEGAN

Born from the miles that helped me keep going.

sad miles club. was founded by Daniel Leggett in August 2025.

After Daniel and his fiancée experienced pregnancy loss, he turned to running while struggling with depression. Running did not make the grief disappear, but it gave him somewhere to place the thoughts he could not always explain.

A few difficult miles became a reason to leave the house. Then a way to breathe. Eventually, running became an important part of healing.

Daniel began looking for activewear that spoke honestly about mental health. When he could not find clothing that felt true to his experience, he decided to create it.

That idea became sad miles club.

BEHIND THE NAME

Three words. One shared purpose.

01
THE FEELING

sad

For the miles shaped by depression, grief, anxiety and the days when moving feels harder than usual.

02
THE MOVEMENT

miles

For every run, walk and step taken for your mind. No distance is too short and no pace is too slow.

03
THE PEOPLE

club.

For the community beside you. A place where every pace belongs and no one gets left behind.

THREE WORDS. ONE BELIEF.

sad miles club.

However you move and however you feel, you belong here.

Clothing that can say what is difficult to say.

We create activewear and everyday clothing carrying honest mental-health messages.

Some pieces offer a quiet reminder to the person wearing them. Others help start a conversation with the person running beside them.

Designed for race days, walk breaks, difficult mornings, fresh starts and all the ordinary days in between.

Because the message you wear could be the one somebody else needs to see.

OUR PROMISES

What we believe

Three principles that shape our clothing, our community and every mile we share.

01

Movement for the mind

Movement can create breathing room on difficult days. Running, walking or taking one small step all count.

02

Community over competition

You do not need to be fast, experienced or confident to belong. We support the person at the front, the person at the back and everyone in between.

03

Progress over perfection

Not every run needs a target. Not every day needs a win. Sometimes progress simply means showing up for yourself.

THE CLUB PART MATTERS

No one gets left behind.

sad miles club. is a supportive community of runners, walkers and movers choosing to look after their mental health together.

There are no pace requirements and no expectations about how far you should go. You can celebrate a personal best, a first kilometre or simply making it outside.

However you move and however you feel, there is space for you here.
